Mark Millburn is a 34-year veteran in the commercial real estate industry specializing in multifamily. Throughout his career, Millburn has been directly involved in more than $3.2 billion of multifamily sales and development in Salt Lake City and throughout the United States, representing a list of clients that includes Archstone Smith, Northwestern Mutual, Trammell Crow Residential and Equity Residential. As president and founder of EquiMark Properties, he grew the business into the leading multifamily brokerage in Utah. Millburn holds the CRE and CCIM designations.
Jed Millburn, Principal of ARA Utah, has extensive experience in the sale of multifamily land and apartment communities. Jed has personally brokered over 7,200 units – valued at over $600 million. During the past four years (2005-2008), Jed has sold more multifamily properties than any other Broker in the state of Utah. He serves as a valued consultant to many private & public multifamily investors and developers. His clients include BlackRock, AIMCO, and Acacia Capital. Jed also has extensive experience in high density land entitlement for both rental and condominium housing.
Kevin Hart joined Apartment Realty Advisors in the 2nd quarter of 2007. Kevin graduated in Business Finance from the University of Utah, and brings over 15 years of experience in brokering and managing large transactions in the technology industry, and developing high level strategic relationships. Kevin started his involvement with multi-family properties in 1996 and has maintained an interest in this side of real estate ever since. His experience in business development and understanding of finance brings aggressive solutions for investors. Kevin is looking forward to implementing his skills to maximize his client’s opportunities in the dynamic Utah market.
Carter Owens joined Apartment Realty Advisors as a Multifamily Specialist to work directly with Jed Millburn. Specializing in the institutional apartment market, Carter has been involved in over $150 million in sales since joining ARA in late 2007. With over five years of commercial real estate experience, Carter was previously employed by The Irvine Company Apartment Communities where he gained extensive knowledge of institutional apartment investments. During his time there, he was responsible for the underwriting and due diligence of over $2 billion in apartment acquisitions. Prior to joining The Irvine Company, Carter worked as a financial auditor for Ernst & Young, an international accounting firm, where he became a Certified Public Accountant. Carter received his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Accountancy from Brigham Young University. He is a licensed real estate agent in Utah.
Sage R. Sawyer, Multi-family Specialist, draws upon four years experience in business consulting and customer relations for a leading telecommunications consulting firm. Sage has a keen understanding of the intricacies of the multifamily housing market across the Wasatch Front and has been involved in over $250 million in transactions. Sage graduated at the top of his class from the University of Utah in Business Finance.
