Bret W. Zinn

Bret Zinn joined ARA in 2005 with over 10 years of commercial real estate experience. His background included financing, development, and research with a focus on multifamily properties with well respected national companies. Bret brings a high level of successful sales skills and marketing strategies to ARA. He is involved in all aspects of the marketing process including property valuation, client/prospect contact, contract negotiations and closing. Prior to joining ARA, Bret was an Associate with Colliers International where he specialized in Multifamily Sales. While at Colliers, he brokered apartment properties ranging in size from $3M-$69M throughout the Southwest United States. Since joining ARA, he has sold over 3,400 units with a sales volume of more than $250,000,000 in multifamily transactions. He is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Regional Development.
Mark Brower

Specializing in land brokerage since 2000, Mark Brower joined ARA Phoenix in 2007 to establish the land sales department. Prior to joining ARA, Mark focused on land sales to residential developers and home builders throughout the Valley brokering land deals independently as well as with Hogan & Associates and Commerce Realty Advisors. His market knowledge as well as his understanding of land entitlements, property research and contract negotiations have helped him close over $130 million since 2003. Mark graduated Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State with a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics. His other professional experience includes real estate investment, property management and real estate appraisal management. Mark has been a member of the Urban Land Institute’s Young Leaders Group since 2004.
David Cohen

David Cohen joined Apartment Realty Advisors in 2006. Before ARA, David worked for a private real estate developer as their Director of Acquisitions and Dispositions for multi-family assets specializing in condominium conversion and student housing. David completed multi-family transactions in five different states around the country, including Arizona, Florida, Michigan, and the Gulf Coast totaling over $100 million dollars in two years. He remains knowledgeable in all facets of profitably buying and selling commercial real estate.
David graduated from the University of Miami, FL with a bachelor’s degree in Business Law.
Kyle Grider

Kyle Grider joined Apartment Realty Advisors as a Transaction Manager for the Denver office of ARA after several years in development and sales management. Kyle was involved in marketing approximately $1.8 billion in multifamily assets and over 17,000 apartment units during his tenure with ARA Denver. Now the Director of Institutional Sales for the Phoenix office, Kyle works closely with Principal, Brad Goff, specializing in apartment buildings over 200 units. Kyle earned an MBA from Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester and a BA from the University of Cincinnati. Kyle is a licensed broker in New Jersey, Colorado and Arizona and is an actively engaged member of the Urban Land Institute.
Nick Steele

Nick Steele joined Apartment Realty Advisors in 2007 as a Research Analyst for the Phoenix office. Currently now a Transaction Manager, Nick specializes in the sale of apartment properties under 200 units. His duties include abstracting offers, preparation of property and market analysis materials, overseeing production of marketing reports, coordinating buyers due diligence, property tours and a high degree of client interaction and contact. Before starting with ARA, Nick interned with Lazar and Lauer Commercial Real Estate in Southern California. Nick received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from the University of Redlands in 2006 and also has his Arizona and Colorado real estate licenses.
