Matthew P. Rotan, principal and co-founder of ARA, has been involved in the multifamily industry since 1989. His responsibilities include hands-on interaction with all assignments taken on by ARA, as well as being in contact with equity sources and maintaining capital market relationships. In addition to day-to-day consulting and brokerage services, Matthew is responsible for developing new business opportunities whether brokerage or advisory services, in Texas or across the United States. Matthew serves as an Executive Committee Member of ARA as well as being the President elect for ARA. Additionally, he has frequently been asked to speak as an expert on the Houston and Texas Apartment Markets.

Matthew graduated from Southwest Texas University in San Marcos, Texas with a Business Marketing Degree. After graduation, he worked for the George Bush for President Campaign as Organizational Director for the State of Oklahoma. Matthew then joined CB Commercial for eight years prior to co-founding ARA. He is on the board of directors and the executive committee of the Boys & Girls Country Home in Katy, Texas, an organization assisting children in crisis. Matthew is also an active member of St. Martins Church and has recently served on the Vestry and is a member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Breeder's Greeter's Committee, which supports college scholarships for Texas youth. He is a 4th generation Houstonian who has been married for 20+ years and has four children.
 
 
David K. Oelfke

David K. Oelfke, principal and co-founder of ARA, has been in the multifamily investment business since 1986 and has received nationwide recognition for his performance in the apartment market both in Houston and throughout the United States. For over 20 years, David has been integrally involved in the marketing process on all of the properties represented by his office from the preparation of Opinion of Values and final packaging to contracting and closing. Through being personally involved in the sale of over $10 billion of multi-family properties, he has the experience and execution skills to successfully orchestrate any multifamily transaction.

David also serves on the Board of Directors of Apartment Life (www.apartmentlife.org), a 501C3 corporation committed to enhancing the lives of residents in over 300 apartment communities across the nation by connecting residents to one another through the CARES program. He is also active in other non-profit organizations such as The College of Biblical Studies, The Brookwood Community, Yellowstone Academy, Stoney Creek Ranch and Second Baptist Church. David has been married to his wife Rosanne for 23 years and has three children David Hill, Kendall and Sam. David holds a BBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.
 
 
Clifford P. McDaniel

Clifford P. McDaniel serves as a principal of the central region office of ARA as well as principal in the National Affordable Housing Group. His duties include brokerage, client development, and staff organization.

Cliff has successfully worked with a variety of clients including AIMCO, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, AIG as well as banks servicers and syndicators. He has made it a principle cornerstone of his brokerage business to acquire a broad knowledge of his client's history and current needs and to maintain an extensive knowledge of the apartment market and financial and equity market.
 
 
David Mitchell
Houston, Texas

  

David Mitchell, Principal, oversees all aspects of the transaction process from valuation, marketing and client contact, due diligence, negotiations of the purchase and sale agreement through deal funding. David is also involved in client development and debt/equity sourcing. He has been directly involved in approximately $3 billion in multifamily transactions since joining ARA.

Prior to joining ARA, David was a manager in the Corporate Finance/Capital Markets Group of a large corporation where he was involved in the financial analysis, due diligence and financing negotiations. David also spent time in the Restructuring Group which was responsible for restructuring and managing a $600 million private equity portfolio. Before attending graduate school, David spent two years at Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. and Harris, Webb & Garrison, a regional investment banking firm.

David received his BA and MBA from The University of Texas at Austin and is currently on the Associate Council of the Real Estate Finance and Investment Center at The University of Texas. David also serves on the business development board at the Bank of Houston and serves on the steering committee for the Leaders of Tomorrow at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. David is an owner and board member of Zodiac Valet Trash, a leading trash service company for the multifamily business.
 
 
David C. Wylie

David C. Wylie, Principal, directs his attention toward the development and production of new business. Utilizing his Business degree from the University of Texas, Mr. Wylie contributes to client development, sourcing of new buyers, and pricing strategies of the multifamily assignments taken on by ARA. Through his involvement in the sale of over $1.5 billion of multifamily properties with ARA, Mr. Wylie has the skills necessary to orchestrate successful multifamily transactions.
 
 
Russell D. Jones
Houston, Texas

  

Russell D. Jones, Vice President, manages the Private Client Services Group (PCSG) in Houston and handles all aspects of the marketing process taken on by the PCSG, including client development, pricing strategies, valuation/ modeling, marketing, as well as negotiation and closing of transactions.

The Private Client Services Group focuses on properties built prior to 1990 in the Houston MSA. Since inception ARA Houston has been involved in over $8.5 billion of multifamily transactions of this kind.

Prior to joining ARA, Russell was a Senior Associate at a national brokerage company where he focused on new client development, financial underwriting, marketing and escrow management for multifamily transactions.
 
 
Adam Allen

Adam Allen, Vice President, focuses on all aspects of the multifamily investment sales process including valuation, marketing and client contact, due diligence, negotiation of purchase and sale agreements and closings of transactions. He has underwritten and been involved with over $1 billion of multifamily transactions at the company. Prior to joining ARA, Adam was Director of Acquisitions & Development for PinPoint Commercial L.P. and a Financial Analyst for CBRE Capital Markets in Houston, Texas. Adam received his M.B.A. from The University of Chicago, Booth School of Business and holds his B.B.A. in Finance from The University of Texas in Austin.
 
 
 
David Marshall

David Marshall, Vice President, specializes in urban-redevelopment and suburban land sales for all buyer and seller types. He oversees all aspects of the transaction process from valuation, pricing strategies, marketing and client contact, due diligence, and negotiations of the purchase and sale agreement through deal funding. David is also involved in client development. Over the past two years, David was involved in more than $170 million in land transactions. David was previously with a consulting firm where he provided support in corporate real estate consulting services, financial valuation services, and tax consulting depreciation and cost recovery services. His real estate consulting and valuation assignments have been located throughout the United States with extensive work in the Houston, New York, and California markets. He has also engaged in due diligence for multiple multi-billion dollar portfolio acquisitions and dispositions. David possesses a BBA in Finance from Baylor University and is a licensed real estate salesperson.
 
 
Tim Dosch

Timothy Dosch, Vice President, brings a heightened level of suburban land sales, urban-redevelopment and corporate relocation expertise that elevates and expands service delivery to clients. Over the past three years, Tim was involved in more than $225 million in land transactions and with his team managed approximately 175 listings. Additionally, Tim has been featured as a keynote speaker at commercial real estate forecast events. Tim graduated from Texas A&M University and is a licensed real estate salesperson.
 
 
Yvonne Sarmiento

Marketing Director, leads the Marketing Team and possesses a well-rounded real estate background coupled with graphic design expertise. Ms. Sarmiento's experience consists of multifamily and office investment sales, office tenant representation, multifamily leasing, commercial property management, and retail development. Her responsibilities include: the structuring and implementation of marketing strategies, in-house design and production of multimedia presentations, offering documents, newsletters and brochures, as well as acting as a liaison between the principals and their clients. Ms. Sarmiento graduated from San Diego State University.
 
 
Elizabeth Ahow

Marketing Specialist, brings over 10 years of marketing experience to the ARA team. She has worked in the construction and oil and gas industries where she gained knowledge of the proposal process and furthered her graphic design expertise. Ms. Ahow is responsible for compiling and producing in-house offering documents, designing brochures and implementing marketing initiatives for the firm. Ms. Ahow has a BFA in Graphic Design and MBA with emphasis in Marketing from the University of Tulsa.
 
 
Ryan Murray

Ryan Murray, Marketing Specialist, brings over seven years of marketing experience to the ARA team. He has worked in the medical testing and information technology industries where he gained knowledge of the proposal process and furthered his graphic design expertise. Mr. Murray is responsible for compiling and producing in-house offering documents, designing brochures and implementing marketing initiatives for the firm. Mr. Murray has a BA in Marketing and Psychology from Houston Baptist University.

Zach Springer

Zach Springer, Transaction Manager, graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. He has underwritten over $1.5 billion in multifamily investments since 2008. Specifically, Mr. Springer directs his attention towards property valuation, market research, and client development. Prior to joining ARA, Mr. Springer spent over a year with a national homebuilder as a Land Acquisition Analyst.
 
 
 

 
 
 
Thomas Alleman

Thomas Alleman, Analyst, graduated with a BBA in Finance from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Mr. Alleman is primarily responsible for market research and underwriting, and has underwritten over $7 billion in multifamily investments since joining ARA in 2010. Prior to joining ARA, Mr. Alleman worked for Moody National Securities, where he assisted in raising capital for Moody National REIT I. Mr. Alleman and his wife, Lindsay, actively attend Houston's First Baptist Church, where they serve as Sunday school youth directors.
 
 
 

 
 
David W. Stockton

David W. Stockton, Controller, focuses his time maintaining the financial, personnel, and general corporate responsibilities for ARA. His duties provide detailed support for the overlying business in which ARA is involved. Mr. Stockton joined ARA in March 2004 after two years as an auditor with KPMG. While at KPMG, Mr. Stockton spent his time examining in depth accounting practices of various companies as well as studying other general business practices of clients. Mr. Stockton also has experience as an investment analyst at an equity trading hedge fund as well as analyst experience at GE Capital Real Estate.
