Marc E. deBaptiste
Marc served as Vice Chairman for the Community Redevelopment Agency of Delray Beach and President of the South Palm Beach Country Boys and Girls Club. He is recognized as a distinguished spokesperson at industry forums. Serving as a board member of the National Multi-Housing Council, Marc's reputation as an expert in commercial real estate transactions for more than two decades is firmly established.
Prior to the formation of the company, Dick was a leading investment sales specialist with Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate where he structured transactions for office, retail and industrial products. Subsequently he co-founded a South Florida-based investment sales company that primarily represented institutional owners with an emphasis on multi-family communities. Dick was president of this company for ten years prior to forming the Florida office of Apartment Realty Advisors.
Dick has been a resident of South Florida since 1968. He is an active member of the National Multi-Housing Council and on the Advisory Board of the University of Florida Center for Real Estate Studies. A graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Real Estate, he has appeared as a spokesperson at national meetings and forums including National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF), Nova University Masters program and the University of Florida Masters of Real Estate program.
Prior to joining ARA Florida, Ken was Trammell Crow Company’s Executive Vice President where he had responsibility for the overall strategic direction of Trammell Crow’s tri-state brokerage unit, focused on business growth, recruiting, training and development. His tenure with Trammell Crow Company was preceded by his work as Cushman & Wakefield’s Executive Managing Director and New York Area Leader where he had overall responsibility for the firm’s five offices in the New York area. In September 2005, Ken was named one of the Top 50 Leaders in Commercial Real Estate by Real Estate Weekly and was also one of Real Estate New York’s Top “40 under 40” as well as Real Estate Forum’s “next great leaders.” Ken is widely recognized and sought out as an industry leader and is regularly quoted on important real estate issues in publications including, among others, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Daily News, New York Post, Newsday and Crain’s New York Business. He has appeared on CNBC, WNBC-TV, in addition to regional cable news and WCBS radio. He is also a regular speaker and moderator for industry events such as Real Share and Commercial Property World in addition to being a guest lecturer at NYU's Real Estate Institute. Ken also served as Regional Managing Director for Cushman & Wakefield’s suburban area, where he was instrumental in guiding the region to record revenues, and also as Cushman & Wakefield’s Director of Business Development where he was responsible for client relationships and transactional activity in the tri-state area. Ken joined C&W in 1987 and spent ten years as a successful commercial leasing broker in Midtown Manhattan before joining the management ranks. In Ken’s 20 years of commercial real estate, he has represented major companies that included United Way, CBS, JP Morgan Chase, Benetton-USA, The Greater NY Hospital Association and Chubb Insurance. Ken was also responsible for over three million square feet of prime building agencies in New York including 51 W. 52nd Street, 730 Fifth Avenue, 555 Madison Avenue and 450 Park Avenue. Ken is extremely active in many civic and industry organizations including REBNY, CORENET GLOBAL, YM/WREA, ULI, NYU and the Association for Better New York (ABNY) where he serves on the steering committee. He is also involved in several charitable organizations and was recently presented with the first annual Percy Douglas award by Friends of Island Academy for his outstanding service and commitment to impoverished youth in New York City. He currently serves as Co-President for the Friends of Island Academy and serves on the board for the Thyroid, Head and Neck Cancer (THANC) Foundation.
Ken received his BBA in Finance from Emory University and has completed extensive graduate work at NYU.
In 2007, Avery was recognized by Real Estate Forum as The Next Generation: The Top 35 Real Estate Professionals Under 35 and won the “Up and Comers” award presented by the South Florida Business Journal. Avery has also been noted as a Daily Business Review Dealmaker in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 and a CoStar Power Broker in 2004, 2006 and 2007. Prior to joining Apartment Realty Advisors, Avery was a consultant with Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting), where he maintained client relationships, managed the scope of engagements and delivered recommendations to client executives. Avery assisted regional banks, investment banks and other financial services clients in developing business strategies, financial models and business plans. Additionally, Avery has been actively involved in fundraising for the United Way, and has served as a board member for the Literacy Volunteers of America.
Avery graduated with honors from the University of Florida and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Real Estate. In addition, Avery holds a Florida real estate brokerage license and a Florida mortgage broker license.
Prior to joining Apartment Realty Advisors, Hampton was a Director of Sales for a publicly traded communications company, where he managed a regional sales office. Hampton won numerous awards for sales and leadership and his team was ranked among the top performers in the country.
Hampton has been actively involved with fundraising for the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County and he has served as host for several fundraising functions. He graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelors degree in Health Science. In addition, Hampton is a candidate for a designation of Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) and holds a Florida real estate salesperson license.
Prior to joining Apartment Realty Advisors, Brandon worked as a senior investment associate with Marcus & Millichap in South Florida. Brandon graduated from the University of Florida and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Real Estate, in addition to holding a Florida real estate salesperson license.

As a principal in the ARA southeast region, Marc has achieved recognition for his years of successful experience in the sale, development, finance, management and construction of multi-housing communities throughout the United States. His extraordinary record of success in investment sales dates back to 1980. Prior to the formation of Apartment Realty Advisors, he was Senior Vice President and Operating Partner of Lincoln Property Company. Marc developed several communities and had management responsibilities for more than 14,000 apartments, a majority of which were on behalf of third-party institutional owners. Well-versed in multi-housing finance, he guided the sourcing, structuring and negotiating of complex financing arrangements, including pre-sales and joint ventures. Before joining Lincoln Property Company, Marc was a Senior Investment Associate of Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate, where his sales ranked in the top 1% in the country and number one in the southeastern United States.
As a principal in the ARA southeastern region, Dick has maintained a leadership position in the sale and finance of investment properties throughout the state of Florida. As the registered real estate broker for the firm and a licensed mortgage broker, Dick's long-standing industry relationships are impressive. He has specialized in the sale of multi-housing properties since 1990. His clients include Altman Development Company, American Land Group, Eagle Realty Group, Equity Residential Properties Trust, General Investment & Development Co., Lincoln Property Company, MIG Realty Advisors, Northwestern Mutual Life, Prudential Life, The RREEF Funds, Stiles Corporation, Summit Properties, UBS Asset Management, United Dominion Realty Trust, UNUM Life Insurance Company, Wachovia Bank and Waterton Associates.
Ken is ARA Florida’s Chief Operating Officer where he is responsible for statewide operating and market expansion, as well as the continued development of service areas including institutional mid-market, land and capital market advisory services including debt/equity placement.
Avery joined Apartment Realty Advisors in 2002 and specializes in the marketing and sale of multifamily properties and land in South Florida. Avery is involved in all aspects of the marketing process including client development, valuation, contract negotiation and closing. Avery performs the business development, market research, buyer underwriting and prospect follow-up for the company’s marketing assignments. Since joining Apartment Realty Advisors, Avery has been actively involved in the sale of over $3 billion in multifamily assets throughout the state of Florida. Avery is a board member of University of Florida’s Center for Real Estate Studies and is a member of ULI, NMHC and SEFAA.
Hampton joined Apartment Realty Advisors in 2006 and specializes in the marketing and sale of multifamily properties in southern and western Florida. He is involved in all aspects of the marketing process including valuation, client/prospect contact, contract negotiations and closing. Hampton brings a high level of successful marketing strategies and sales skills to ARA.
Brandon joined Apartment Realty Advisors in 2007 with over nine years of experience in commercial real estate. As head of the South Florida division of ARA’s Private Clients Group, Brandon specializes in the marketing and sale of multifamily properties throughout South Florida. Brandon is a proven performer whose keen understanding of his clients’ goals and aggressive representation has resulted in the closing of over 75 deals totaling approximately $335 million in transaction volume over the course of his career. He has built a strong reputation with clients by maximizing value and remaining committed throughout the entire transaction process.
